The Lekki Muslim Ummah (LEMU) Youth held its August Potluck Gathering on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at the Lekki Central Mosque, Lagos, with the theme “The Qur’an and You: How to Cultivate a Consistent Bond.”
The event brought together young Muslims for an afternoon of learning, sharing, and community building, featuring icebreaker games, food sharing, and group discussions.
During the discussions, participants exchanged practical tips on how to build a stronger relationship with the Qur’an.
Some of the strategies highlighted include setting simple daily goals such as reciting one page, finding accountability partners, using Qur’an apps and digital resources, replacing distractions with Qur’an time, keeping a Qur’an journal, and making sincere duʿā for consistency.
The gathering, guided by the motto “Come with food, leave with faith and friendships,” created a warm and welcoming space that infused spirituality with social connection.
It left attendees spiritually uplifted and inspired to make the Qur’an a closer companion in their daily lives.
