About LEMU Welfare Community
LEMU Welfare Centre is a faith-based charity organization dedicated to providing charitable support to the poor, needy and less privileged members of society on an ongoing basis to benefit multiple generations through charity and other social improvement initiatives. To the glory of Allah, the Committee’s activities have continued to expand and have had far reaching impact on many individuals, families and organizations since 2015.
The LEMU Welfare Centre (Welfare Committee of the Lekki Muslim Ummah) is a vehicle for well-meaning individuals of faith to provide support for the alleviation of poverty in Nigeria. The focus of the LEMU Welfare Centre is primarily on the first four global goals for sustainable development (No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well-being, and Quality Education).
Some of the beneficiaries of the Committee’s activities include: The General Hospital in Odan, Lagos Island, Old People’s home in Yaba, Bab es Salam Muslim Orphanage, all Prisons in Lagos State, Schools (Ansar Ud Deen Grammar School and Lekki Muslim Nursery and Primary School), and the poor and needy who benefit from the Welfare Centre’s flagship event; “Annual Charity Day” held at the Lekki Central Mosque during Ramadan.
