RAMADAN: A CALL TO THE CONSCIENCE

Returning to the One Who Loves to Forgive

“Indeed, Allah loves those who constantly repent.” (Qur’an 2:222)

Ramadan is not only a month of fasting; it is a month of returning. It calls us back—from distraction to focus, from heedlessness to awareness, from sin to sincerity.

Repentance (tawbah) is not weakness; it is courage. It takes humility to admit our faults and faith to believe that Allah’s mercy is greater than our mistakes. Every human stumbles, but the best are those who rise and turn back to their Lord.

True repentance begins with recognizing the wrong, feeling sincere remorse, stopping the wrongdoing, and resolving not to return to it.

Where we have hurt others, we must seek to make amends.
No matter how distant we feel, a sincere plea can restore closeness in an instant. The door of mercy remains open. Allah does not tire of forgiving; we only tire of asking.

Today, reflect quietly. What habit must you leave behind? What apology must you make? What prayer have you delayed? Ask Allah to forgive careless words, missed opportunities, and silent grudges.
Then move forward with hope.

Ramadan reminds us that every day is a new beginning. Let repentance cleanse your heart, lighten your burdens, and renew your spirit.
Turn to Him today—He is nearer than you think.

O Allah, grant us sincere repentance and steadfast hearts. Ameen.

Ramadan Mubarak
