Pride blinds the heart, but humility elevates the soul. Allah (SWT) praises the servants of the Most Merciful as:
“Those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them harshly, they say words of peace.” (Qur’an 25:63)
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“No one who has an atom’s weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.” A man asked, “What if he likes his clothes and shoes to look good?” The Prophet replied, “Allah is beautiful and loves beauty. Arrogance is rejecting truth and looking down on people.” (Muslim)
True humility does not mean weakness—it means recognizing that all good comes from Allah, and that every human being deserves respect.
A humble person admits mistakes, seeks advice, and treats everyone—rich or poor—with kindness. Humility brings dignity, while arrogance leads to downfall.
Let us strive to walk lightly on the earth, remembering that everything we have is from Allah, and to Him will return.
