LEMU Youth Hosts October Potluck on Gratitude and Contentment

The Lekki Muslim Ummah (LEMU) Youth Committee has held its October Potluck themed “The Gift of Gratitude – How to Find Contentment in a World of Pressure.”

The gathering, which took place at the Lekki Central Mosque vicinity on Sunday, October 26, brought together young Muslims for an afternoon of reflection, laughter, and connection.

The event encouraged participants to slow down, appreciate life’s small mercies, and rediscover gratitude as a pathway to lasting contentment.

The session highlighted that gratitude is more than a reaction to blessings; it is a continuous act of worship that extends into everyday experiences — from relationships and personal growth to moments of trial and patience.

Participants were reminded that saying Alhamdulillah in both ease and difficulty strengthens faith and nurtures peace of mind.

The Youth Committee expressed appreciation to everyone who attended with sincerity and contributed to the success of the event.

Attendees shared halal meals, exchanged meaningful conversations, and left with renewed perspectives on gratitude and contentment.

The LEMU Youth Committee also prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the gathering, for safe travels for all participants, and for every attendee to carry forward the spirit of shukr in their daily lives.
