“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.” (Qur’an 14:7)
Gratitude transforms not only how we see life, but how we live it. Ramadan sharpens our awareness of blessings we too often overlook—the coolness of water at sunset, the nourishment of food after a long fast, the comfort of family, the quiet strength of faith beating steadily within our hearts. Each is a deliberate gift from Allah, lovingly placed in our lives.
Yet gratitude is not meant only for moments of ease and abundance. Its true power shines in difficulty. Hidden within every trial is a subtle mercy—lessons in patience, resilience, humility, and trust.
When we choose to thank Allah even in hardship, something remarkable happens: our hearts find peace, even if our circumstances remain the same. Gratitude does not always change our situation, but it changes us.
Today, let gratitude become a conscious act of worship. Thank Allah for the breath that fills your lungs, for the health that enables you to fast, for the chance to seek forgiveness and renewal. Let your tongue speak appreciation, and let your actions reflect it. A grateful heart becomes lighter, calmer, and more hopeful.
Remember, gratitude is both spoken and lived. It is reflected in how we use our time, how we treat others, how we respond to setbacks, and how faithfully we honor Allah’s commands. When gratitude fills the heart, contentment quietly settles within it.
May this Ramadan nurture in us a spirit of thankfulness that endures long after the crescent moon fades — a gratitude that continues to increase us in faith, peace, and nearness to Allah.
Ramadan Mubarak
