Patience (Sabr):The Quiet Strength That Carries Us Through

“Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” (Qur’an 2:153)

Patience is one of Ramadan’s greatest lessons. Long hours of fasting, delayed meals, and altered routines teach us endurance. But sabr goes beyond physical restraint—it is calm perseverance in every situation.

Life often presents delays, disappointments, and unanswered prayers. Patience does not mean passive acceptance; it means trusting Allah while continuing to do what is right. Every act of patience is noticed by Allah and rewarded in ways we may not immediately see.

Today, practice patience with yourself and others. Be gentle when tired. Respond calmly when tested. Remember that Allah is with those who endure with grace.

Ramadan reminds us that hardship is temporary, but faith sustains. Each patient moment strengthens character and deepens reliance on Allah.

O Allah, Most Merciful, grant us hearts that remain steady in times of trial and souls that trust You without hesitation. Teach us the beauty of patience in hardship, restraint in anger, and perseverance in obedience. When we grow weary, renew our strength. When we are tested, anchor us in faith. Make sabr our shield, our light, and our path to Your pleasure. Indeed, You are with the patient—so keep us always in Your divine compassion. Aameen
