The Lekki Muslim Ummah (LEMU) on Thursday held its Annual Imams Conference at the Lekki Central Mosque in Lagos for year 2026.
This year’s conference themed “Imams, the Youths and the Law” was aimed at strengthening the relationship between Islamic clerics and the younger generation, while addressing critical legal issues affecting the Muslim community.
The conference which was held at the Vice Admiral Jubrila Ayinla Multipurpose Hall, located within the masjid had in attendance hundreds of Imams from Lagos and some south-west states.
Among the guest appearance were Chief Imam, Lekki Central Mosque, Dr. Jamiu Ridwan; Professor of Law, Shariah Consultant, Department of Islamic Law, University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulRazzaq AbdulMajeed Alaro; President, Lagos State Muslim Community, Hon. Oyinlomo Danmole; President, LEMU, Dr. AbdulGaniyu Labinjo; Chairman of the Conference, Alhaji AbdulWaidi Yinka Adeola, and Registrar, JAMB, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede.
The conference was chaired by Hon. Oyinlomo Danmole, President of the Lagos State Muslim Community.
